John “Jack” Ranahan ’63 died at age 80 on June 24, 2021. He is survived by his extended family. John earned his bachelor’s in accounting from Santa Clara University in 1963. John taught computer science at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and was a proud member of the San Bruno Community and served on the San Bruno Planning Commission and the San Bruno Educational Foundation. John was a loving and engaging grandfather. Many afternoons were spent watching the ocean waves with his grandsons and visiting the San Francisco Zoo.
