John Anthony O’Keefe ’65, MBA ’70 was born June 27, 1943, and served valiantly in the Army for 26 years, including during the Vietnam War, ultimately reaching the rank of colonel. Additionally, John worked as the associate director for the Michigan Municipal League for 25 years, co-founded the Washtenaw Junior Football Organization, and served as chair of the Washtenaw County Red Cross Board and president of the Michigan Reserve Officers Association. He was also a longtime member of the Ann Arbor Ski Club. John passed away on April 23, 2019, at Heartland Care Center in Ann Arbor. He is survived by his son, Michael, and his loving wife, Mary Ellen, whom he married on May 14, 1988.
