Jimmy Dutra ’93 is a candidate for Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors, focusing on issues including homelessness, increasing mental health services, and protecting agriculture and wetlands. Additionally, he wants to ensure the youth and community have access to broadband and social programs. He previously served as the mayor of Watsonville and is currently a city council member. He sits on several boards including Santa Cruz METRO, Pajaro Valley Prevention and Student Assistance and The Diversity Center of Santa Cruz County. He is also an educator with the Pajaro Valley Unified School District.
