1970

Always ready to lend a helping hand, Jensen Kuan M.S. ’70 had a remarkable ability to connect with others. Born in China, Jensen served in both the Chinese and Taiwanese navies before coming to the U.S. on a scholarship. In 1965, he moved to California and met his wife, Christine, and started a family in the Santa Clara Valley. Jensen spent his career as a statistician for the State of California, working in the departments of motor vehicles and public health. His commitment to others extended beyond his work, as he volunteered countless hours as an English-Chinese translator, even single-handedly translating the first Chinese-language California Drivers Handbook. Jenson died on Jan. 6, 2025.
