Jeffrey Manchester ’66 embraced a diverse array of roles with an ever-present smile, from working as a packer and guide in the high Sierras, serving as a Naval officer, and managing a bank to directing a treatment center, spending 28 years at Sandia National Laboratory, coaching soccer for 37 years, and serving as a docent on the USS Hornet. Despite the varied nature of Jeff’s pursuits, his greatest loves remained his wife, Ann Manchester ’66, and their daughters, Andrea and Katherine Manchester ’93. Viewing his 45 years of sobriety as a great spiritual journey, Jeff also cherished the connections he made through AA. Jeff died on Oct. 15, 2023.
