Jayshree Ullal M.S. ’86 was ranked 30th in Forbes’ first list of “America’s Top 50 Most Successful, Self-de Women,” as measured by her net worth: $470 million. According to the magazine, “to be eligible for this list, women had to have substantially made their own fortunes. In cases where they started businesses with, and still share with, their husbands, we’ve assigned them half of that combined wealth.”
London-born Jayshree Ullal, 54, who was raised in New Delhi, took over computer networking company Arista Networks in Santa Clara, Calif., as president and chief executive officer in 2008, when it had less than 50 employees, transforming it into one of Silicon Valley’s most valuable networking firms by 2014.
