Janice Kathryn Murphy ’78 served as treasurer and vice president of pensions and investments for Kaiser, where she profoundly changed systems to better serve people. It was work she managed while raising her family with love and a quick laugh. Janice also volunteered widely, including with the American Heart Association, California Self-Insurers’ Security Fund, the Oakland Diocese, and on her children’s field trips. She died Oct. 14, 2021.
