Jane Franusich M.A. ’77 died August 3, 2020, just 21 days after her loving husband Peter passed away. Jane will be remembered by family and friends as a very wise and deeply caring woman with a wonderful sense of humor. Born in Sonoma and raised in Vallejo, Jane attended San Jose State University, where she was active in student government, and went on to earn her master’s at Santa Clara. She was a resource specialist teacher in the Saratoga Union School District for many years, served as a counselor for organizations supporting women, and was involved in her church’s choir and Bible study group. Jane and Peter were regular contributors to many charities including Second Harvest Food Bank, American Red Cross, and International Justice Mission.
