After serving in World War II and the Korean war, James William Wells MBA ’73 settled down with his first wife Betty Misch and ran a toy store. Their union was unfortunately cut short when Betty and daughter Karen died in a plane crash. Bill found love a second time with his second wife Kitty. Together they operated the World of Miniature Museum, which included dollhouses, train layouts, dioramas, and a working model cargo ship. After closing the museum in 1988, Bill spent countless hours building model railroads and trains while Kitty added to his work with her beautiful scenery. Bill died Oct. 5, 2021, however, the compassion he showed to all including those ravaged by war will live on through his wife and son.
