1970
James Tanner ’70 was a glass-half-full kind of man. A dedicated member of the South Denver Optimist Club for over 40 years, Jim was always striving to make the world a better place. In 1973, he met Cindy and together they built a life filled with laughter and adventure. They raised three daughters and spent a lot of time outdoors. A gifted CPA, Jim grew his practice into Heider, Tanner, and Dirks, Inc., where his clients became lifelong friends. Jim died on Jan. 6, 2025, and is survived by family, including daughters Megan Harrison ’00 and Kirsten Lewis ’06.
