The Las Vegas lights have burned a little less bright since James Seagrave ’60 died on September 28, 2022. After graduating from Santa Clara, Jim began his career as a reporter for the Daily Alaska Empire newspaper(now the Juneau Empire). From there, he went on to have an extensive career in publicity spanning numerous agencies and companies. Through his job, he also met the love of his life, Jan Plowman. He was especially dedicated to Jan and loved showering her with little gifts and trips to beautiful places. He also took his fatherly duties to the next level. He never missed a performance or game, kept every program, and clapped the loudest and the longest at every event. Jim will be remembered for his incredible writing, humor, wit and, most of all, his kindness.
