James Monroe MBA ’71 held a passion for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team that was only eclipsed by his commitment to his faith and his love for his family. Jim joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in November, 1958, and he went on to serve a mission for the Church in France and Belgium from 1961 to 1963. He married Shirley Anne Crofts who was his steady anchor throughout his life. Being a grandparent to their nine grandchildren was a highlight of his life. Jim was particularly gifted with children and he had a unique ability to set them at ease with his warm smile. He died Oct. 4, 2022.
