Jairo Mejia MA ’73 was dedicated to God’s service as a priest in Colombia for 25 years: a pastor, teacher, publisher, and theologian with the Second Vatican Council. Upon earning a Master’s Degree from SCU, he also served as an employment training counselor for six years. Mejia later rededicated himself to priestly ministry in the Episcopal Church, Diocese of El Camino Real in its Hispanic ministry. Throughout his life, Mejia loved music, photography, travel, technology, and lastly astronomy, in awe of the stellar world. Mejia died on Jan. 22, 2023.
