Hon. J. Stephen Czuleger ’73 returned in November 2014 from teaching law in Tirana, Albania. Judge Czuleger was awarded a Fulbright grant by the Fulbright Commission of the U.S. State Department. Working through the US Embassy in Albania, he lectured at Tirana University Law School. He also spoke at a number of other law schools, met with the judges of Albania and members of the Albanian government as well as granting television and newspaper interviews. During his term, Judge Czuleger was asked to lecture on comparative law as well as issues of official corruption and independence of the judiciary. He is the first sitting judge from the United States to receive a Fulbright to teach in Albania. He continues to sit as a judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court beginning his 28th year on the court.
