A pioneer in wind energy and grass-fed beef, a third-generation rancher, and an honorable judge Hugh Walker ’69, J.D. ’72 died Oct. 10, 2023. Hugh worked his way up from practicing law to becoming a superior court judge for the state of California. He later served on several boards including Valley Care Hospital, the Livermore Rodeo, Zone 7 Water, Alameda County Fair, and a center for metaphysical studies. The legacy of his work lives on and he’ll be personally remembered for his wicked sense of humor, abiding love of family, friends, and ranch life, and his affection for all animals, especially dogs.
