Hubert Walter Jansen ’73, MBA ’76 was born on Oct. 1, 1951. He was a kind, sweet, dependable, wonderful human being. A hard worker, he didn’t slow down and cared about others. He had many interests, including volunteering for local art and wine festivals and serving as past president of the Sunnyvale Jaycees. He was a fan of the San Jose Sharks, the San Jose Barracuda, and the San Diego Gulls; a member of the South Bay Historical Railroad group, the San Diego Electric Trolley group, and the San Jose Stamp Club; president of the San Jose Post Card Club; part of the commercial airline collectible group and more. He had a soft spot for his cats and animals in need and long supported SCU Archives and the library. Hubert had the unique ability to connect people with people of similar interests. He was a parishioner of St. Lawrence the Martyr Parish and loved to attend the Sunday 6 p.m. Mass with his partner, Mary Ann. Hubert passed away on July 6, 2018. He will be missed very much.
