Hilary Ruth Sledge J.D. ’06 and Lateef A. Sarnor were married Nov. 1 in Sonoma, Calif. Judge Denise Page Hood of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan officiated, with her husband, the Rev. Dr. Nicholas Hood III, a minister of Plymouth United Church of Christ, taking part. Fellow SCU Law alumni in attendance at the wedding were Lauren Nguyen Ladwig J.D. ’06 and Esmeralda Lopez J.D. ’06. The bride’s sister and maid of honor was Jacqueline Lynch ’11. Also in attendance was Bernadette Lumas Codrington J.D. ’03 and her three daughters, who were the flower girls. 

The bride, 33, is a vice president and counsel in New York for the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi. She graduated cum laude from Barnard and received a law degree from Santa Clara University. She is the daughter of Brenda N. Lynch of Oakland, Calif., and the late Dr. Carlos R. Sledge. The bride’s mother, who worked in Oakland, retired as the fund-raising director at East Bay Agency For Children, a nonprofit organization serving children with emotional and behavioral difficulties. The bride’s father was a cardiologist who practiced in Oakland. The bride’s stepfather, John A. Lynch, retired as the public affairs manager at Agilent Technologies, a maker of scientific test and measurement tools in Santa Clara, Calif. He is a business development consultant in Oakland. The groom, 44, created and owns Kollide.TV, a New York-based website that offers lifestyle and entertainment videos and short films. He graduated from Rutgers. He is a son of the late Massa E. Sarnor, who lived in Newark. His mother was a saleswoman at Variety Portraits, a portrait studio in Freehold, N.J. The groom’s first marriage ended in divorce.
