Henry “Von” Von der Mehden ’52, grew up on a ranch in the Santa Cruz Mountains. After graduation, he served in Korea at the end of the Korean War. Upon return, Henry attended the GM Institute and started his 50-year career selling and leasing automobiles. It was at his first job with Les Vogel Chevrolet in San Francisco that he met his future wife, Rosemarie. Henry found joy in everything he did. He was a proud Bronco and active alumni, chairing the Sonoma County alumni chapter and organizing many events. Henry died May 12, 2022 and is survived by Rosemarie, children, Eric Von der Mehden ’88, Heidi von der Mehden ’97, brother Lloyd Von der Mehden ’55, and four grandchildren, including Elise Von der Mehden ’15.
