A dedicated peace activist, teacher, and counselor, Helen G. Frumin M.A. ’76 found the Women’s Strike for Peace and the Committee of Responsibility. She and husband Morris were longtime supporters of the movements for civil rights, peace, civil liberties and social justice. Also a wife and mother, Helen died at home in Newton, Massachusetts, on May 11, 2017, at age 95. She was the loving wife of Morris for 60 years; loving mother of Eric (Brooklyn), Melissa (Newton), and the late Steven Frumin; loving mother-in-law of Emily and Greg; cherished grandmother of Michael, Gregory, Jacob, and Anna; loving great-grandmother of Mia; and loving companion of Dan Pomerantz.
