Heather Mardel Jones J.D. ’02 has been appointed judge of the Fresno County Superior Court. She has served as a commissioner at the Fresno County Superior Court since 2014. Previously, Jones served as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of California, an associate attorney at Dowling Aaron & Keeler, an assistant district attorney for the Santa Cruz County District Attorney’s Office, a staff attorney at the California Supreme Court, a staff attorney at the Santa Clara County Superior Court, and as deputy legal affairs secretary for the Office of Legal Affairs for Governor Gray Davis. Her spouse, Samuel J. Dalesandro Jr. J.D. ’01 serves as a commissioner at the Fresno County Superior Court. They have two daughters: Lila, age 8, and Harper, age 6.
