After a courageous battle against lymphoma, Gerald “Jerry” Stenson ’71 passed away from COVID-19 on January 4, 2021, at the age of 71. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University and Master’s Teaching Credential from USF. Jerry taught at Monte Verde Elementary School in San Bruno for 40 years until his retirement in 2016. He was a lifelong educator who touched countless lives, known for his ability to talk with anyone and to tell a delightful story. Jerry is survived by his wife, two children, four siblings, and extended family.
