George E. Grenfell ’49 on March 26, 2010, surrounded by his wife and daughters. George was the beloved husband of Lorraine for 58 years and loving father of Mary Ness (Robert), Sally Mrizek (Andrew), and Joan Kingery (Todd). He was the wonderful grandfather to Elizabeth, Matthew, Caroline, Ellen, and Michael. Born and raised in Yosemite Valley National Park he later graduated from Mariposa High, Santa Clara University, and University of Pacific School of Dentistry. For 30 years he practiced pediatric dentistry in San Mateo. He was a B-17 pilot in World War II. George was a wonderful husband and dad and he loved us with all his heart. He will always be embraced by his family’s love and remain in our hearts forever.
