George Costouros MBA ’68 PhD ’72 believed that focusing on his education would bring opportunities for a better life. As an officer in the Greek Air Force, he traveled throughout Greece after World War II and frequently worked alongside US Air Force members. He later became a tenured, full-time professor at San Jose State University’s business school, where he taught thousands over 35 years. He and his wife built a life with friends, colleagues, extended family, and two sons, John and Nick, in Los Gatos, Calif. One of George’s passions was working in the garden and tending to the many fruit trees he had planted. He died Sept. 18, 2022.
