Gale Moran ’76 met her husband of nearly 52 years, Marshall Moran ’74, while both were studying at SCU. Together they raised five beautiful children—Rhondalyn, Joseph, David, Rachael Moran ’01, and Kendra Calderon ’02. Gale later pursued a master’s in social work, dedicating her career to protecting and uplifting children and families through Child Protective Services in Sacramento County. After retirement, Gale and Marshall moved to Rigby, Idaho, where Gale cherished her time crafting, reading, and collecting small treasures like purses, earrings, and shoes. Gale died on Aug. 4, 2025, and is survived by family, including niece Heather Lavaly ’01, and was preceded in death by brother Andre Lavaly ’76.
