Fred Meyer ’61 was a hard worker his entire life. He started as a paperboy, then began working for his father’s furniture and carpet store. He had many careers throughout his life from working as a CPA, a wine company controller, CFO and treasurer for the San Jose Water Company, later becoming vice president of regulatory affairs. He had many interests and belonged to numerous clubs prior to and during his retirement. He joined the San Jose Rotary club and spent many years participating in endless fundraising efforts. He could always be found working a BBQ, feeding the homeless, or training Boy Scouts at the Sunnyvale Rod and Gun Club. He had an amazing workshop at his home where he created many beautiful pieces that he shared with friends and family. Fred was a devoted Catholic and could always be found every Sunday in the front row at church. Fred died on Aug. 18, 2021 .
