Frank B. Schmitz J.D. ’76 was born Jan. 27, 1935, in Portland, Oregon, where he lived most of his life. He graduated from Central Catholic High School, the University of Portland (B.A.), the University of Pittsburgh (MBA) and Santa Clara University (J.D.). He was a builder in the Portland area and a U.S. Army veteran. He died on Dec. 2, 2015, at the age of 80. Survivors include his wife, Grace; sister, Celia Schmitz; daughters, Molly (Nate Lesiuk) and Angela (John Carter); grandchildren, Louise and Joe Carter; cousins in Germany; and many nieces and nephews.
