Lifelong Bay Area resident and an Army paratrooper during WWII, Francis Brierly ’52 earned a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from SCU and a master’s in electrical engineering from UC Berkeley. He worked as an engineer in the defense industry for decades and later as an independent programmer. He was an avid bicyclist and leader in several social clubs at Rossmoor, where, with his devoted wife of 31 years, Audrey Cox Price, he delighted in entertaining family, bridge partners, and friends. He died on Feb. 27, 2016. Francis is survived by his adoring children, Elizabeth, Peter, and Anthony; daughter-in-law Jennifer (Wilson); grandchildren Lauren and Benjamin; niece Jennifer Johnston; and loving stepsons Lawrence and Robert Price and their families.
