Floyd Sichi ’57 died March 5. He was the proud son of Italian immigrants. His family lived not far from Hollywood and Vine, where Floyd grew up going to movies every Friday and Saturday morning, cheering at Hollywood stars’ baseball games, eating a lot of pasta, and going to huge family picnics. After studying electrical engineering at Santa Clara, Floyd began his Space Age career as a rocket guidance engineer at Lockheed in Sunnyvale. He was known as a loving husband to Evelyn Sichi, a self-sacrificing father to his seven children, a devout Catholic, a deep thinker, and a sports fanatic.
