Ernest DeGasparis ’66, MBA ’68, J.D. ’73 met his wife, Joan Degasparis ’66, at Santa Clara University, where their journey began. Ernie proudly served two years in the Army ROTC program, including a year in Vietnam, where he worked with Procurement Services in Saigon. Upon returning, he pursued his passion for law at Santa Clara, and in 1973, he joined Dick Weldon in Santa Maria, dedicating 47 years to his legal practice. Together, Ernie and Joan enjoyed traveling the world, but his favorite place remained a beach in Mexico, where he cherished time with family, including their son Charles DeGasparis ’90. Ernie died on Sept. 15, 2024.
