Eric Stackpole M.S. ’15 and business partner David Lang have combined their company, OpenROV, which builds robots for ocean exploration, with a startup that makes solar-powered buoys to transmit data from anywhere in the ocean. This new business is SoFar Ocean Technologies, which makes tracking ocean conditions and observing marine life easier and cheaper.
