Enrico Viale MBA ’86 has been appointed president of Endesa Chile, the largest electric utility company in that country, by the company’s board of directors. Enrico Viale was the global director of the Enel Group’s Generation line of business. He is a civil engineer with specialization in hydraulic engineering from Polytechnic University of Turin and has an MBA from the University of Santa Clara Business School. He has also taken training courses at Politecnico di Milano University and at MIT. He began his career in 1986 in the Italian energy company GIE, in various capacities in the area of finance, to join Enel in 2003 as Country Manager for Southeastern Europe. Subsequently, he served as of 2008 to date as Enel’s COO in Russia and as CEO of the OJSC subsidiary in that country.
