Emily Elrod ’05, MA ’14 and Rene Cardenas ’04 on July 9, 2011 at Santa Catalina School in Monterey. They were married by English professor Theodore Rynes, S.J. Alumni in attendance included maid of honor Lisa Catalano ’08, matron of honor Diana (DeRego) Wells ’03, bridesmaid Elizabeth Foley ’06, groomsman Marshall Mort ’05, and parents of the bride Lawrence Elrod ’71, MBA ’77 and Annette Elrod ’73. SCU faculty and staff who attended include Terry Beers, Russ Morris, and former staff Lisa Taggart. Emily recently completed a graduate degree in history and is in SCU’s MATTC program. Rene received his MBA and works in finance. The newlyweds make their home in the Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose.
