Elsa Mendoza Jimenez ’98 is the interim director of health at the Monterey County Health Department. She has been in the public health sector for 15 years. Jimenez says, "I always wanted to work in a profession at which I would be able to help others, particularly those unserved or underserved. Public health has afforded me the opportunity to be able to work on initiatives that positively impact individuals, communities, organizations, and systems."
