Liz (Ebinger) Smith-Chavez ’70 received her J.D. from the University of San Diego in 1978. After 40 years of practicing law in San Diego, she just retired to New Mexico, the “Land of Enchantment.” She is getting used to the altitude, heat in the summer, and cold in the winter. Smith-Chavez stays busy updating her books on California real property law and mentoring young lawyers through the Inn of Court, but mostly she is relaxing, reading, and traveling. She has two daughters, including Emily Lettieri ’08, three stepsons, and three adorable grandchildren.
