An accomplished professional for more than 25 years, Eleanor “Ellie” Schuermann J.D. ’92 worked at several firms in the Bay Area, provided in-house legal counsel at two Fortune 500 companies, and served as Judge Pro Tempore for Santa Clara and Alameda counties. A gifted singer and lifelong choir member who graced several churches with her voice, Ellie also ran the South Bay Karaoke Group. After being struck by a vehicle in San Jose, she died on May 27 as a moral compass, setting a good example for others in her thoughts and actions to the end.
