Elaine Ávila ’87 released a  play, Fado—the Saddest Music in the World, which officially debuted at the Firehall Arts Centre in Vancouver. The play, which won Favorite Musical at the Victoria Fringe Festival, is about a young woman in old Lisbon, confronting her country’s Fascist past and searching for her own identity.
