1968

Edwin Forrest ’68 was born in San Fransisco in June of 1945 and was raised on the mean streets of Los Altos, CA. He started his business career in the construction management field and after five years started his own company. These construction projects led to his interest in natural stone and historic building restoration. His company was the leader for thirty years in Northern California, and Ed personally worked on over six hundred restoration projects. Upon retirement, Ed took oil painting classes at Sacramento City College under Professor Chris Daubert. During these classes and with the praise and encouragement of Professor Daubert, Ed found his passion for oil painting. His style is referred to as Hard Edge but he refers to it as Hard Edge Obsession. He would like to thank Lenny Bruce and his favorite band (Lee Bob and the Truth) for continued inspiration.
