Edward Hutchins ’72, M.S. ’75 moved around a lot in the first quarter of his life. Born in St. Louis, Ed grew up in Phoenix, joined the Army and was stationed in Alaska then San Francisco. After being discharged, he earned bachelor and master degrees in electrical engineering then settled down in Cupertino with his wife and their two children. He found work as a chip designer at several Silicon Valley companies. After retiring, he travelled the country on a motorcycle for two years. He ended his tour in Vancouver, WA, where he became an avid square dancer. He died June 19, 2023.
