Edward “Duke” Gaffney MA ’69 was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. Born in Spokane, WA, Duke received his Bachelor of Education from Gonzaga University and his Master’s of Education from Santa Clara University. At Gonzaga, he played baseball on scholarship and had a short stint playing baseball professionally. His career, however, was in education, and he was known for his hard work, dedication, and generosity. Duke died on November 30, 2022.
