After his retirement from the business world, Dr. Arthur J. Gemmell LL.M. ’05 entered Lincoln Law School of San Jose, where he graduated as the class valedictorian. In 2005 Arthur obtained a Master of Laws degree from Santa Clara University, and in 2007 a Doctor of Juridical Science from Golden Gate University of Law. He studied law at Oxford, Strasbourg, France, Geneva, Scotland, and in China, and also received a Practice Diploma in International Arbitration from the College of England and Wales. Arthur died on April 28, 2021, and is survived by his wife, Barbara, his three sons, including Kenneth Gemmell ’96 and Kevin Gemmell ’99, and his four grandsons.
