Dorothy Gray J.D. ’79 died Jan. 2, 2022. She led a classic 1950s southern California teen existence of beaches, mountains, and the freeways in between. After graduating, she worked for local papers and later ventured into screenwriting. Her scripts included episodes of “I Love Lucy” and “The Fugitive” among other shows. Next she ventured into politics and helped the California Natural Resources Agency manage natural, historical and cultural resources. Dot was a champion of grassroots political organizing and she understood the power of small donations. After retiring from politics Dot worked to publish a book on independent-minded frontier women, “Women of the West.” She went on to earn a law degree from Santa Clara University and continued to support activism within her community. Dot is survived by extended family including daughter Michele Gray ’86.
