Donald E. Sullivan ’49 has retired at the age of 82 after serving the community of Gridley, Calif., as a family practice physician for 52 years. Dr. Sullivan graduated from Creighton University Medical School after attending SCU. In addition to tending to his medical practice for 52 years, he also served as Chief of Staff on several occasions at the local hospital and served on the high school board for 20 years. He was named Man of the Year by the Gridley Chamber of Commerce and subsequently awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Chamber. The community held a retirement reception for Dr. Sullivan on November 29, which was attended by over 150 patients, community and family members.
