After earning an engineering degree from Santa Clara, Donald Javete ’51 receive his master’s degree and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. He then became the managing partner at Dames & Moore in San Francisco and went on to a successful private consulting career. Javete was also a catechist who loved being outdoors, fishing, camping, and hiking, as well as making beer and wine. Javete was preceded in death by his wife of almost 55 years, Carol, and his daughter, Loraine Moon. He is survived by his four sons Mark, Paul, Matt, and Phil, as well as, 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
