A storyteller at heart, Donald Absey ’51 always had a yarn to spin, from his adventures in boyhood and his proud memories in the U.S. Navy to his travels across California. With a love for theater nurtured by his mother, Don loved to captivate a group, a skill he put to work as a docent and tour guide for the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. Don’s other passion for was for aviation: He trained as a fighter pilot and in his middle years he took up aerobatic flying. He died July 23, 2023.
