Dennis M. Murphy ’57 was born in Santa Cruz on April 13, 1935, to Frank Murphy and Marjorie Leibrandt Murphy. He attended Holy Cross High School and earned his B.S. in business from SCU, later obtaining his CLU to become an insurance broker. Dennis had strong faith and was a devoted Catholic. He was a longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church as well as a member of the Lions Club, Ducks Unlimited, and a number of other local clubs and organizations. He passed away on Oct. 27, 2018, of natural causes at the age of 83. Dennis is survived by his wife of 45 years, three adult children, a brother, and two sisters. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
