Described by friends as “a glowing light in this world,” Deirdre Flannery Gollop ’69 died on July 20, 2021. She is survived by her adoring husband, Frank Gollop ’69, two daughters, and seven grandchildren. After Deirdre pursued her masters in special education at the University of Southern California (making plenty of time along the way for fun at the beaches she loved), she and Frank moved to Wisconsin, where she started her family and directed research projects for specialized childhood education at the University of Wisconsin. Deirdre’s devotion to enhancing the lives of others was lifelong.
