Downey Brand is pleased to announce that real estate partner Danielle Stephens ’02 has been honored with the 2021 Women of Influence Award in the category of law by the Sacramento chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW).

“This is an important award for me because I was nominated and selected by the women in my industry that refer business to me, whose clients rely on me and who I closely deal with,” she said about the honor.

Danielle is an accomplished real estate and corporate transactional attorney with 17 years of experience assisting clients throughout the state in commercial real estate leasing and acquisitions and sales with a focus on contractual negotiations requiring collaborative deal-making. She has been rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized by numerous publications for her practice such as Super Lawyers Magazine, Sacramento Business Journal, and most recently, Sacramento Magazine as one of the “100 Notable Business Leaders” of 2021.

Danielle is also heavily involved in her community as a member of Fairytale Town’s Board of Directors and as Pro Bono Counsel for Sacramento’s Food Literacy Center, positions she has held since 2015. In addition to these roles, Danielle served on CREW Sacramento’s Program Committee in 2019 and she has been a member of the organization for 15 years and counting.

“CREW is the organization to join when you are a woman in real estate,” Danielle said, “In CREW, you learn about the changes occurring in different areas within the industry while also creating relationships that will help your business grow.”

The annual award ceremony is being held on June 17 at Hillenbrand Brewery in Newcastle and is designed to recognize and honor outstanding women in Sacramento’s commercial real estate industry. Danielle will be among several women recognized for excellence within their respective professional fields.
