Daniel Romero ’56 a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, died March 18. Dan served 8 years of active duty in the United States Army and another 13 in the reserves, where he was promoted to Lt. Colonel. Dan earned a Master’s Degree in Education from California State University-Sacramento and found success in education. He handcrafted many of the additions to the family home. Some of his fondest memories were taking the grandchildren to games, tailgating, and listening to his beloved complain about Steve Mariucci or Jimmy G. He and his wife would be everywhere, rarely missing any activity involving their children. He is survived by extended family, including cousin Stephanie Shaire ’04 and grandson Michael Romero ’13.
