An active advocate for coin-collecting hobbyists for 40-plus years, Daniel O. Shattuc ’73 served in countless positions in numismatic clubs across California. In 1985, he chaired National Coin Week for California, driving many miles to visit local coin clubs. Dan was a Green Beret, an Eagle Scout, and loved the outdoors, working with young people to create habitats for wood ducks around the San Francisco Bay Area. Dan died in October 2020. “Immortality is to live life doing good, and leave your mark behind”—Dan achieved that.
