Daniel Joseph Vesely ’50 of Rocklin passed away peacefully on August 12, 2013, with his loving family by his side after suffering from Dementia for several years. He was 89 years young. Daniel was born to Joseph and Minnie Vesely in New York, New York on July 30, 1924. Daniel married his wife Annie Walker to whom he was married to for 65 years. Daniel is survived by younger brother, Joseph Vesely who is living in Massachusetts. He is also survived by his two children Gregory Vesely, Cynthia Gruber and her husband Joe Gruber, two grandchildren Kristel Vesely, Gregory Goodnough and one great-grandson, Jayden Goodnough. Daniel graduated from Santa Clara University with a civil engineering degree in 1950. He worked for several engineering firms over the years which allowed his family to live in Casablanca, where Greg was born and Madrid, Spain where Cynthia was born. He retired with the Federal Government Corp of Engineers. Daniel and Annie raised their children in Rocklin since 1964. He loved his family and friends, enjoyed reading, traveling and was an avid golfer until he became ill. He always enjoyed living on the golf course. We were blessed to have him in our lives and he will be deeply missed.
